The Teen’s Ministry at GPT City Centre comprises of young people in church from the age of 13 to 19 years and their facilitators (teachers).

It was realized that the teens have special spiritual needs that may not be addressed among the children’s ministry, the young adults’ set-up or even the greater church context. Hence, the Teens’ Ministry was born as a response to a very sensitive and important segment of the church constituents who are in a transitional and formative stage in life.

The vision of the ministry is to impact “teens by training them in the statutes and ordinances of the Lord.” As for the mission, it’s to establish and equip the teens with a focus of making them transformers in their circles of influence by rooting in the Word of God and helping them live it.

The Teens Ministry is very critical to the church in that it helps the young generation to be energetic, passionate and malleable about the things of God, both in church and in their schools, as Christ’s representatives.

The psychosocial transitions that teens go through make it important for the church to equip them ably so that they can navigate through this stage successfully. The min?stry, therefore, provides an opportunity for the church to amplify and reinforce the messages of the cross to themselves and others who have not been privileged with godly counsel.

The teens hold their service every Sunday as from 11.30am to 1pm (during the school holiday when most of them are in church). When schools are in session, the numbers drastically go down and so services are only held as and when they are a reasonable number. It is our hope and desire that the teens church grows to a level where their service can go on throughout the year.

The teens also hold dance practice sessions, retreats and camps.

Teens Ministry Leader
