The Children’s Ministry at GPT City Centre comprises of children aged 2 - 12 years and their facilitators (teachers). Our classes are divided into four age groups:

• 3 to 5 year-olds currently called Tigris
• 6 to 7 year-olds presently named Gihon
• 8 to 9 year-olds christened Pishon
• 10 to 12-year-olds dubbed Euphrates

The ministry began as a response to the specific needs of children, which cannot be effectively addressed within the main church service.

The vision of the ministry is to raise “a generation trained in the ways of the Lord” while the mission is to establish and equip the children with the Word of God at their level through collaborations with their parents to ultimately bring up a Godly offspring.

The ministry is both strategic and critical to the church’s continuity. This is because it is these children that are groomed on a daily basis that will advance the agenda of Kingdom wherever they will be; as able ambassadors of the Church but even more importantly, of Christ. The ministry endeavors to ensure that the generations that pass through its hands continue to develop a personal relationship with Christ and to grow in His knowledge.

The children meet in their respective classes every Sunday from 11.30am to 1pm for enrichment through the Word of God. The ministry also coordinates retreats for both prayer and interactions, practice of various forms of ministry; such as dance, skits, recitations, memory verses and even preaching; and vocational bible schools among others.

The facilitators, on the other hand, meet on the first Sunday of the month to review the progress, share feedback and plan for the ministry’s programmes. They also visit each other on special occasions; for example, if one of us has been blessed with a newborn.
