The Green Pastures Tabernacle - Hebron City is a ministry of The Green Pastures Tabernacle Church, which was founded by Bishop Stanley Mwalili on 30th June 1998 in Nairobi, Kenya.

The Green Pastures Tabernacle Hebron City Formerly (GPT City Center) began on 4th February 2007. We began with a congregation of about 40 people at Bidco Towers, 5th floor, in the Nairobi City Center which was available only for Sunday services. After 10 months we entered into a new lease for the basement of Bidco Towers, which was available to us 24/7.

Later, we launched our lunch hour meetings and midweek services i.e. Bible Study every Wednesday and Prayer Meetings every Friday as from February 2008. We had the venue until October 2009 when the building was closed and we relocated to Moi Avenue Primary School (also in the City Center) and continued believing God for better premises.

With time, the church continued to experience tremendous numerical growth. This created a need for a bigger hall, more space, and more capacity for us to function effectively. As a result, we started praying and trusting God for a place of our own. 2 Samuel 7:10 became the clarion call to secure our own place. By the grace of God, we held different fundraising events towards the Project. This enabled us to purchase a place in Nairobi, Utawala - Mihango area, approximately 200 meters from Boston High School along Buru Farmers Road. The Church was then renamed to Green Pastures Tabernacle - Hebron City.

The construction work for GPT Hebron City kicked off towards the end of 2020. We imported and anchored a tent and are currently finalizing on the ablution block and other facilities of the church. We relocated to our new place on April 18th, 2021.

We have since grown to a congregation of more than 200 committed members. Since the Church started, we have established the following groups and ministries:

• Ministry Action Groups
• Teens Church
• Couples Fellowship
• Business Felloship
• Children's Church

We also have an ongoing Strategic Leadership Training programme where we raise Godly leaders who in turn exert kingdom influence in the corporate world, marketplace and community in which they are. So far, about 90 aspiring and current leaders have passed through this programme.

With the visionary leadership of Pastor Albert and Mary Shitakwa, we have a strong Advisory Board that serves with him in providing direction and policy to the church. We also have a great Pastoral Team responsible for spiritual nurture and dynamic leadership teams that oversee the various groups and teams in Church.
